Citizen/DNR Cooperation Helps Improve Air Quality

About a year ago we started calling attention to the overuse and misuse of burning barrels and other illegal burning. We displayed the DNR’s flyer on burning and while there has been some noticeable improvement on this problem, it’s worth seeing again. Thanks to a generous donation from contriubtors, these flyers have been reprinted and will be enclosed an upcoming mailing of tax notices. Watch for it.

We also showed a video clip (below) of an illegal burning incident. Thanks to action by a concerned citizen who reported the incident to the DNR and effective response by DNR staff, this is a success story of how the public and the DNR can work together to solve our environmental problems in Kewaunee County. Keep up the good work.
